About the Role
We are looking for a six-month fixed term full time Charge Nurse Floor Coordinator to backfill our vacancy for Auckland Surgical Unit and Trauma theatres.
Joining our team means you’ll be supported by great leadership, be part of a strong, innovative team who always aims for excellence in patient care delivery operating theatres.
As Charge Nurse Floor Coordinator, you will:
- Be responsible for managing the Health Care Assistants team and the supervision and coordination of the acute patients care delivery while maintaining a cohesive work and communication network with Perioperative staff and the wider clinical team.
- Compliment and support nursing management within the multidisciplinary department
- Responsible for staffing allocations, recruitment, and roster preparation
- Take on operational responsibilities and support the senior management team
- Promote excellence in clinical practice and safe patient care
- Provide leadership and support to the nursing and health care assistants in the Operating Theatres
About you
To be successful for the role, we are looking for the following:
- NZNC Registered Nurse with Post Graduate Qualification
- Recent experience as a Floor Coordinator and staff management desirable
- Sound clinical knowledge, demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of operating theatre efficiency
- A flexible and resilient health professional who is patient focused, motivated and thrives working in a challenging environment
