About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Allied Health professional, Family Therapist, to work at Nga Harakeke Mai Rongokako, Child, Adolescent & Family Services (CAFS). The position is full time. The purpose of this role is to provide assessment and therapy to tamariki, Rangatahi and whānau presenting to the mental health service.
As a Family Therapist within CAFS you will support tamariki and Rangatahi experiencing mental health challenges, working closely with their whānau to achieve positive, lasting outcomes. The role offers great variety and you will carry out individual and group therapy, as well as acute mental health assessments. You will join a dynamic team and work alongside a number of specialists providing a multidisciplinary approach to care.

About you
You will be a confident and compassionate therapist, passionate about improving mental health outcomes for young people and their whānau. You’ll bring:
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Family Therapy)
- Current registration with a professional body and valid APC i.e. New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC)
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience, ideally in child and adolescent mental health
- Knowledge of a range of therapeutic modalities (e.g. Family Systems Therapy, CBT, ACT, Maudsley)
- A full, clean NZ driver’s licence
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team and with diverse communities
