The Opportunity

We are one of the largest maternity units in Australasia, providing primary, secondary, and tertiary care to approximately 6500 women each year. Our graduate midwifery programme is comprehensive and will offer you extensive clinical experience and opportunity to consolidate your midwifery skills with clinical rotations across a range of services which will enhance your future career as a midwife.

You will be based at Auckland City Hospital and gain midwifery experience across the following clinical areas:

  • Labour and Birthing Suite
  • Women’s Assessment Unit
  • Antenatal and Postnatal Wards
  • Opportunity to rotate to Community Midwifery Team

By being part of OUR Graduate Midwifery Programme you will be joining our supportive midwifery team, where we strive to provide excellent individualised, evidence based and women/whānau centered care. We are offering our Graduate Midwives an exceptional individualised programme, tailored to your learning needs, with wrap around support and guidance from our fantastic Clinical Coaches and Midwifery Education teams.
