About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity based in Gisborne for a confident and proactive Executive Assistant seeking a fast-paced role with lots of variety and responsibility.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator or Executive Assistant, who is highly competent and professional, to provide administrative support to the Group Director of Operations, Hospital and Specialist Services, Tairāwhiti. Day to day, the role provides high-level executive, secretariat and project support, manages communications and implements strategies to support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives.
This role is at the heart of the health service for enabling clinical service delivery and the quality of care provided to the people of our community. Join us to make you contribution through this diverse and interesting role.
About you
With 5+ years of experience in a senior Administrator or Executive Administrator role, preferably within the health sector, you will bring initiative and professionalism, with evidence of strong planning, organisational, and communication skills.
You will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where you can prioritise effectively, work positively and calmly, and take ownership of your work through accuracy and attention to detail.
As a proactive and positive team player, you will have the ability to work cooperatively and in close collaboration with the Senior Leadership team and their PA’s.
You will also bring the following:
- An enthusiastic can-do attitude with a strong focus on excellent customer service.
- Outstanding communication skills both written and spoken.
- An ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships, developing trust and credibility with the team and stakeholders.
- Excellent technology and app skills including across Microsoft Suite; Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing environment with efficiency and accuracy.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to anticipate needs and proactively address issues.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the relevant PSA Collective, and the Pay Scale, determined on relevant experience.
