We are seeking a proven professional to oversee and enhance the psychiatry training programme, focusing on learner supervision, assessment and positive educational outcomes.

About the Role

The role involves ensuring a high-quality training experience, fostering engagement, whilst contributing to workforce transformation and development.

This Director role will be responsible for designing and developing the quality of supervision to ensure that the Northern Region Psychiatry Registrar Training Programme is delivered to meet RANZCP standards.

In addition, it will also support and advise the Psychiatry VTC Chair and VTC (Psychiatry) to assist them with their decision making.

About you

  • You will have a thorough understanding of all RANZCP Training Regulations and curricula
  • Are a Fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)
  • Have experience in establishing and maintaining key relationship with relevant clinical services and broader services
  • Strong clinical experience and supervision experience in psychiatry with FRANZCP
  • Proven experience in teaching, training and supervising junior medical staff and healthcare professionals
