About the Role
Join our dedicated team at the Wairoa Health Hospital & Centre, a pivotal facility within our rural community. As an Enrolled Nurse.
The enrolled nurse will be a valued member of our team, working across a range of areas within our small rural hospital. Because of our size, we aim to utilise your existing skills where they are best suited, while also supporting you to develop new competencies. Your role may include, but is not limited to, community nursing, ward nursing and assisting in outpatient clinics.
- Utilize your clinical expertise to assess health needs, develop appropriate care plans, complete accurate documentation, and work collaboratively with visiting clinicians, senior nurses and allied health staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure culturally safe patient care.
- Commit to culturally appropriate care, aiming to improve equitable access and health outcomes for Māori populations.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The successful candidate will be available to work across a variety of supported hospital settings.
Wairoa Hospital, located in rural Hawkes Bay, is a small rural hospital with two emergency department beds and nine ward beds. This role involves rostered and rotating shifts.
In addition to inpatient care, we provide a rural community nursing service (District Nursing) and an Outpatient clinic service operating Monday to Friday. If variety is what you are seeking, please apply

About you
The successful applicant should have enrolled nursing experience in one or all of the above areas. We will supply training and support.
Our hospital is small and have a dynamic team, you will need to be a team player.
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Enrolled Nurse who:
- Holds a current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
- Demonstrates clinical competence and sound judgment in diverse healthcare settings.
- Exhibits strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to continuous professional development and upholding the highest standards of nursing practice.
