About the Role
- Taupō Hospital is your chance to shine. As a Level 3 Rural Hospital, you’ll be a vital part of a close-knit team running a 24/7 Emergency Department and a dynamic 15-bed inpatient unit. This is where you'll gain serious procedural experience and have the autonomy to truly make a difference in a community setting.
- Rural Hospital Medicine Registrars can be based at Rotorua and Taupō Hospitals during their RHM training programme. Rotorua is a secondary base hospital providing a wide range of services including ED, medical and surgical specialties, ICU, Anaesthesia, O&G, Paediatrics and Psychiatry.
- Work with a genuinely supportive team of Consultants, Senior Registrars, House Officers, and dedicated nursing staff who are committed to your development.
All required runs for RHM training are accredited by the DRHMNZ.

- Rural Hospital Medicine Registrar (Taupō)
- Emergency Medicine Registrar (Taupō)
- Anaesthesia Registrar (Rotorua)
- Can co-ordinate runs based in Rotorua for General Medicine, Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine
