About the Location
- Rotorua Hospital has all secondary level specialties with tertiary level care provided at Waikato hospital. The patient mix is broad with a full range of trauma, medical, surgical, paediatric and minor presentations. The population we serve has relative high levels of deprivation, social issues, poor health literacy and many live in rural and remote communities. This adds to the acuity and complexity of our patient presentations, but makes our work more rewarding.
