Duty Nurse Manager
- Waikato Hospital
- Permanent, Part Time (48 hours per fortnight)
- Are you an experienced Senior Registered Nurse with over five years’ experience in an acute hospital setting, ready for a new challenge and a role where no two shifts look the same? If you enjoy variety, thinking on your feet, and being part of a highly skilled and supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.
About the Role
As a member of the Duty Nurse Manager team, you’ll play a key role in coordinating the Waikato Hospital campus, while also supporting Thames Hospital and our rural sites. You’ll ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of resources to support patient care and hospital flow— particularly when things get busy and problem-solving skills really come into play.
If you thrive on variety, enjoy big-picture thinking, and don’t mind a role where adaptability is your superpower, this position may be just what you’re looking for.
The salary for this role is aligned with your experience and the NZNO Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand Nursing and Midwifery Collective Agreement. Additional benefits include KiwiSaver contributions (where eligible), shift allowances, professional development opportunities, and wellness support—because looking after yourself matters too.
