Dental Oral Health Therapist Fixed Term

• Help improve the oral health of tamariki across our communities through prevention, education, and compassionate care

About the Role

Every smile tells a story, and you will play an important part in helping tamariki build health habits that last a lifetime. Working across fixed and mobile clinics throughout the Bay of Plenty, you will provide high-quality oral health care, education, and preventative services while partnering with tamariki and their whānau to achieve positive oral health outcomes.

About the Team/Service/Location

Our Community Oral Health Service is made up of passionate clinicians who are committed to improving the oral health of tamariki across the Bay of Plenty. Working alongside Dental and Oral Health Therapists, Dental Assistants, and Kaiāwhina, you will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, cultural safety, and delivering equitable care when it is needed most.

About You

You are relatable and enjoy building genuine connections with tamariki and whānau, who is passionate about making oral health care accessible and engaging. Adaptable, compassionate, and community focused, you thrive both independently and as part of a supportive team.

What you will bring:

• Current registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
• At least 12 months’ post-graduate experience as a Dental or Oral Health Therapist, or be a new graduate Oral Health Therapist ready to begin your career
• International applicants with current or pending New Zealand Dental Council registration are encouraged to apply
• Commitment to culturally safe, whānau-centred practice
• A restricted or full NZ driver’s licence
• Confidence working independently across both fixed and mobile clinic settings
