About the Role
As a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant, you will provide support and assistance to dental and oral health therapists and dentists in clinical and administrative procedures. You will enhance clinic function, time and workload management, whilst following strict infection, prevention and control guidelines and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
About the Team/Service/ Location
We are a dedicated team of dental professionals committed to improving oral health throughout Taranaki. Working in community clinics and mobile dental units, our team of Dental and Oral Health Therapists, Dental Assistants, Administrators, Health Promoter and Kaiawhina provide high quality oral health care and education to communities. Our collaborative approach allows us to support one another whilst delivering compassionate, patient-centred care, promoting good oral health for all, for life!

About you
As a Dental Assistant you will be:
- Conscientious, responsible, detail oriented and enthusiastic.
- Excellent communication and computer skills with an ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Flexible and able to adapt to change.
- Show genuine interest and empathy for children and their whānau and proved cultural competence.
- Full NZ Drivers Licence, as the applicant may be required to work on a mobile dental unit.
