The Opportunity:
Counties Manukau District is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist with a passion for neurorehabilitation. Opportunities in this area are rare, and this role is based in our Adult Treatment and Rehabilitation Unit (AT&R) at Middlemore Hospital.
The position involves working in our neurorehabilitation ward, as well as providing cover for our outpatient physiotherapy clinics. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in the inpatient setting, working alongside patients and their families to achieve the best neurorehabilitation outcomes. The outpatient clinics include vestibular, neuro, and amputee treatment and management. In both areas, you will receive strong support from senior and advanced clinicians.
Counties Manukau is committed to the ongoing education and development of all employees, offering regular supervision and weekly in-service training. You may also have the opportunity to supervise and assist in the development of rotational staff, rehab assistants, and physiotherapy students.
You will be professionally supported by a section head and other experienced physiotherapists, as well as the wider team. We are dedicated to your continuing professional growth through supervision, support, and formal and informal training.

Essential:
• Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board and current APC
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience
• Previous experience working in a rehabilitation team
• Full drivers licence
Preferred:
• Post graduate qualification
• Experience in vestibular and/or neuro rehab
