About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detailed and customer service oriented person to join Inventory and Distribution Services team here at Waikato Hospital.

As a successful Coordinator you will be operating within the Supply Chain Inventory Services guidelines and processes, you would be responsible for working with a team ensuring that the theatres, clinics, fixed storage and mobile storage units are holding required stocks on a day-to-day basis. You would be providing a supply chain service that ensures the correct consumables are available to the clinical staff in the theatre areas. The activities are performed independently but with the support of a distribution manager, other coordinators and team members performing the same function.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Daily checking of storage areas within the Theatres and Clinical areas and re-ordering using portable data entry equipment
  • Picking stock and transporting into the allocated inventory storage locations
  • Receiving, unpacking, checking off and stocking to individual item levels
  • Stock counting on a regular or cyclic basis
  • Regularly assessing stock levels and performing system maintenance

About you

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Supply Chain function in a medium to large organisation
