The Opportunity
A rare, part time opportunity is available to join the Endocrinology and Diabetes Subspecialty Paediatrics team at Waikato Hospital in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We’re seeking a paediatric endocrinologist or a general paediatrician with a special interest and experience in endocrinology and diabetes to join our dedicated group of clinicians committed to delivering excellent care for tamariki/children across the Waikato region. This role includes undertaking diabetes and endocrinology clinics both at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton and rural clinics within our region.

Key Responsibilities:
Efficient and effective assessment and management of patients that follow accepted professional guidelines
Research and study relating to the treatment of a specific patient
Clinical advice and support to other staff
Investigative and treatment procedures carried out within organisational policies and guidelines
Provide verbal advice to GPs who telephone for assistance
Reading and responding to patient’s referral letters
Community health promotion activities

About You
We welcome applications from newly qualified or experienced Paediatricians and Paediatric Endocrinologists who have completed advanced Paediatrics training in a comparable health system. You will hold, or be eligible to apply for, vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
