About the Role

As the Occupational Therapy Clinical Leader you will provide day to day management of staff and resource, ensuring quality service provision, supporting professional and workforce development and involvement in quality work. You will be providing day to day leadership and support to the community team at Waitematā. You will be working alongside and supporting senior occupational therapists within each team to support staff and service delivery.

About the Team/Service/ Location

You will join a fantastic and supportive team of clinical leaders across allied health. You will work closely with the Team Managers and the Professional Clinical Leader to resource, develop and manage your team. For more information on living and working in Auckland click here

About you

We are looking for someone who is a strong role model, who demonstrates excellent leadership and who is passionate about quality patient care and improving patient pathways and models of care throughout the patient journey.

Our preferred candidate will have over 5 years’ experience in a clinical occupational therapy role and at least 2 years’ experience in a senior clinical leadership role.

You must be able to demonstrate the following key attributes:

  • Strong clinical leadership
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational and self-management skills with the ability to effectively manage competing demands and priorities
  • Thrives on change for greater outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, priority setting and planning
  • Ability to be flexible and work across sites
