About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail orientated Clinical Transcriptionist to join our small, supportive team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing clinical correspondence and documentation, ensuring a high standard of quality, confidentiality and timeliness.

Working closely with clinical and administrative staff you will play an important role in supporting patient care through the preparation of accurate medical records and reports. This position requires excellent listening, typing, and proofreading skills, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation processes.

The role is based at Taupo Hospital, working Monday to Friday

Our Transcription team provides comprehensive clinincal transcription support across all services within the organisation. The team plays a key role in maintaining accurate patient records and supporting clinicians through the delivery of high quality, timely and confidential documentation services.

About you

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Transcriptionist to apply their expertise in medical terminology, accuracy, and attention to detail within a professional healthcare environment. The position provides meaningful work that directly supports clinicians and contributes to high quality patient care by ensuring medical documentation is accurate, timely, and comprehensive.

  • Fast (minimum of 60wpm) and accurate touch-typing skills
  • Winscribe experience
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Attention to detail, initiative and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of computer knowledge
  • Previous typist experience
