Exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at the Aronui Ora, Maternal Mental health team based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, Auckland

You will work in partnership with a lead clinician and the support of a clinical coordinator, to provide clinical and operational leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of CAMHS clinicals.

 Aronui Ora is a specialist adult mental health service, providing antenatal (before birth) and post-natal (after birth) mental health care during pregnancy and early parenthood (first 12 months of an infant’s life). 

 Our team is made up of experienced mental health professionals including Specialist Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Mental Health nurses and Occupational Therapists as well as cultural support staff and peer support specialists.

As the Clinical Team Leader for this team, you will bring both clinical leadership and operational management skills, ensuring the effective day to day operation of the service. This includes leading and implementing service developments, improvements and initiatives.

The position requires a self-motivated and conscientious leader with a strong clinical and service user  focus. You will relish the challenges and enjoy working in a supportive environment. You will have a positive attitude, flexibility and a proven ability to form good relationships with staff, service users and their families/whanau. Although experience in an operational management role is desirable, experienced mental health professionals with a desire to extend into a management role will be considered, and if successful will be supported in their development.

You will work collaboratively at a senior clinical level with clients, colleagues, mental health service providers, and other community agencies to promote service user recovery.

This is a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday 8:00- 4:30.

You will also be required to join the mental health on call manager roster providing after hours advice.

We welcome applications from experienced NZ registered Mental Health Nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Psychotherapists with at least 5 years robust and  relevant clinical experience working with complex service users and their whanau. You will be highly competent at identifying and managing risk as well as able to demonstrate sound  leadership skills and experience.
