About Us
Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) Auckland are looking for a full time Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment Court Coordinator/Clinical Supervisor based in our CADS West service.
CADS are the largest Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) service in New Zealand supporting around 15000 people each year. CADS provide free community and inpatient AOD treatment from a number of locations across Auckland. CADS are committed to empowering the community to discover healthier use of substances (harm minimisation) and to promote recovery and wellbeing.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Alcohol and Drug Clinician with proven clinical and leadership skills to provide:
- Comprehensive assessment, treatment planning and report writing services for clients referred by the Auckland Central and Waitakere District Courts in support of the Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment (AODT) Court programmes.
- Clinical guidance and leadership to the AODTC assessment team to ensure and maintain the quality of the assessments and reports.
- Liaise with relevant AODT court representatives
- Clinical services to the clients of our busy outpatient alcohol and drug service
- Clinical supervision to designated staff
This pivotal role contributes to the leadership and co-ordination of all unit activities as well as to clinical service delivery, staff performance, clinical supervision and on-going service quality and improvement.
You will have relevant tertiary qualification and registration in counselling, psychology, nursing, social work or related and excellent communication, assessment, treatment, report writing and liaison skills, as well as clinical experience working with clients presenting with substance use problems.

Essential
A sense of social justice and enjoying working with people in all their complexity is required. You will have a non-judgemental attitude, excellent engagement and communication skills, and an ability to work autonomously within a team. You will also have:
- Full registration with professional body (dapaanz , nursing, social work, counselling, psychology, occupational therapy or related fields)
- Full, clean drivers licence
- Legal right to work in NZ
- Ability to implement Te Tiriti O Waitangi in your daily work
- Ability to facilitate evening groups
Preferred
- Experience in working with the justice sector
- Comfortable working in a range of settings and with other health and social service providers
- Lived experience as a consumer or whanau member
- Experience in group facilitation
- Supervision Experience
