About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Quality and Risk Manager to play a key leadership role in enhancing quality and safety across our clinical services. This is an exciting opportunity to influence system-wide improvement, strengthen organisational learning, and embed a culture of excellence, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of cohesive, consistent, and evidence-based quality and risk management practices. You’ll champion collaboration and innovation to achieve better, more equitable outcomes and experiences for patients, whaanau, and staff.
Reporting to the Risk and Quality Management Lead, you will:
- Provide expert support for divisional quality and risk management functions, including feedback, risk assessments, adverse event reviews, incident management, and audits. Ensuring these systems are contemporary, consistent, and effective.
- Lead quality and risk improvement initiatives within your designated area to align with best practice and organisational goals.
- Foster a culture of quality and safety where incident reporting, investigation, and proactive risk management are recognised as integral to improving care and outcomes.
- Analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from incidents, feedback, audits, and system measures to identify trends, opportunities, and learning for continuous improvement.
About You
You are a proactive, solutions-focused professional with a strong clinical or health management background and a passion for improving systems and outcomes. You will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in a health-related field (or equivalent experience).
- Expertise in quality and risk management tools and processes.
- Demonstrated experience in risk, adverse event, incident, complaint management, and review within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication, writing, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience presenting complex information in meaningful and actionable ways.
