About you:

As a Clinical Physiologist (Cardiac), you will:

• Deliver a high standard of care in your specialized area of cardiac practice, including diagnostic tests and associated procedures.
• Provide expert clinical support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Help develop local protocols and guidelines, ensuring patient-centered care.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, while engaging in continuous professional development.

You’ll play a vital role in conducting diagnostic tests like ECGs, Holter/Blood Pressure monitoring, exercise tolerance tests, and assist in follow-up care. You’ll also provide haemodynamic monitoring during left and right heart studies and assist with other cardiac procedures as required.

Experience with pacemaker implants and follow-up care, as well as experience with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), is desirable but not essential.

We seek a candidate who:

• Holds New Zealand registration and a current annual practicing certificate from the Clinical Physiologist Registration Board (CPRB) or is eligible for registration.
• Has clinical experience in cardiac physiology and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills, both with patients and within the healthcare team.
• Is proficient in the use of clinical applications and passionate about improving health outcomes, particularly for Māori and Pacifica populations.
• Holds membership with the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (NZ) Inc..

Desirable experience includes two to three years post-qualification experience, experience with haemodynamic monitoring, PCI, Pacing and an interest in continuous education and professional development.
