About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Te Matau a Māui Hawke’s Bay.

 

This position will be based at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Hastings.

 

In this role you will be delivering pharmaceutical care and advice to inpatients which includes, but is not limited to, rotations through orthopaedic, general surgery, cardiology, neurology, renal and respiratory wards. You will also support dispensary functions.

When you join our team, we will provide support and guidance as you grow your clinical skills. We have regular journal clubs, grand rounds, clinical talks and an Education and Training Pharmacist to support your growth and development. We also look to support other external training opportunities.

 

In Hawke's Bay the local branch of the PSNZ is active in organising continuing education sessions and has a great Early Career Pharmacist Network if applicable to you.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person with excellent communication skills, a strong team focus and desire to provide a quality service.

 

You will be imperative to the training of Intern Pharmacists and undergraduates and provide support to the wider pharmacy team including supporting dispensary functions. You will be someone who finds reward in contributing to the improvement and development of medicines services to the hospital, and working with our colleagues in a multidisciplinary approach to deliver great patient care.
