About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Māori Registered Nurse to join our Kaiārahi Nāhi Adult Health team at Te Toka Tumai.
With a focus on advocacy and the delivery of high-quality care, our Kaiārahi Nāhi use their clinical expertise to manaaki whānau Māori throughout their healthcare journey. You will be part of a supportive Māori Health network dedicated to achieving equitable and positive health outcomes for whānau Māori.

Kaiārahi Nāhi practice across a range of specialty areas within Te Toka Tumai. We’ll work with you to determine which service best aligns with your nursing experience, clinical interests, and future aspirations.

About you
- A current New Zealand Nursing Council practising certificate and a commitment to improving health outcomes for whānau Māori
- 3–5 years’ experience in community and/or hospital settings
- Strong relationship-building skills with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues, and the confidence to contribute in leadership forums
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for driving equitable change
- The ability to facilitate whakawhanaungatanga and form strong, meaningful connections with whānau that acknowledge, protect, and enhance their mana
