About the Role

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waitematā is seeking a highly skills and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Lead Colposcopy Nurse to lead the colposcopy services within our Women’s Health Service. The CNS Colposcopy plays a crucial role in the success of the cervical screening program and ensuring that women in New Zealand receive high-quality and equitable care.

As CNS – Colposcopy Lead Nurse, you will:

  • Provide leadership and guidance as the National Cervical Screening Programme Lead Nurse to improve the service across our rohe.
  • Provide support of cervical screening practices, assessment and management.
  • Lead case management for complex presentations.
  • Champion quality improvement and service development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to clinical education, audit, and policy development.

About you

You are a Registered Nurse with:

  • A current New Zealand practising certificate.
  • A Postgraduate Diploma in specialty nursing (including advanced assessment and diagnostic reasoning).
  • Progress toward or completion of a Master’s in Advanced Nursing Practice.
  • RN Level 4 or equivalent, with a strong portfolio.
  • Experience in Women’s Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, or Primary Care.

  • A commitment to equity and culturally safe practice.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
