We are seeking an experienced, motivated, dynamic nurse with extensive acute and chronic pain experience to join and lead our pain management team.

About the Role
You will be responsible for coordinating an organization wide pain service in a timely and appropriate manner in conjunction with the Anaesthetic Department in a consultative, collaborative and educative capacity with all patients and staff. A key focus of the role is to provide clinical leadership by facilitating the development of nursing and other healthcare professional’s knowledge and skills in pain management.

About you
As Clinical Nurse Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring optimal pain management for post - operative patients and patients with complex pain problems in consultation, collaboration with other members of the health care team. This will require advanced knowledge and skills in the assessment, treatment and management of pain as well as an understanding of various pain modalities available within HNZ Lakes. You will also demonstrate excellent people management, communication and project development skills. There is an expectation that you will have completed appropriate Post Graduate study.
