CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER – MEDICAL OUTPATIENTS

· 0.8 FTE permanent (64 Hours per fortnight) Monday- Friday
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead and support the Medical Outpatient Service. We are seeking a leader who will have excellent oversite of the medical subspecialities, ensuring patient care and service delivery, is high quality, safe and culturally responsive.
Planned care initiatives across the medical specialties are a high priority for the organisation. These efforts are designed to enhance patient access, streamline service delivery, and ensure equitable care across all demographics and clinical needs.

About the Role
To be a successful applicant, we are looking for someone with the following skills and attributes.
- Preferably experience & knowledge in medical subspecialties.
- To provide leadership and direction for the staff within the department
- To ensure optimum service delivery, and efficient and effective use of resources
- To ensure delivery of effective and efficient patient care and customer service to both internal and external customers.
- To build an effective and integrated service by developing and promoting a team culture that fosters collaborative working relationships

About the Team/Service/ Location
The team consists of Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurses and incorporates working with Specialist Consultants, Fellows and Registrars. Part of the wider service you will have regular interactions with the Clinical Nurse Manager of Renal, Cardiology & Respiratory, Oncology and Medical Team Lead positions.

About you
To be successful it is important that you have:
- New Zealand Nursing Council Registration and a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Relevant Post Graduate qualification, Post Graduate Diploma desired
- Minimum five years’ experience post registration in a clinical position, with a minimum of two years recent medical subspecialty experience preferred
- Quality Improvement knowledge
- Ability to lead projects
- Knowledge of the implications of Treaty of Waitangi with a commitment to biculturalism
- Ability to work in a complex changing environment and able to juggle multiple competing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
- PDRP Senior nurse preferred
