About the Role:

Are you a midwife experienced in caring for people with complex pregnancies?

An opportunity has arisen for a caring, kind and enthusiastic midwife to join our team of community and clinic based Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Midwives. The MFM midwifery team provides support in a variety of settings - alongside specialist doctors at Middlemore Hospital Fetal Medicine Service and at the Obstetric Medical Clinic Manukau Health Park, at their own local midwife led clinics and by visiting women at home within the South Auckland region. The work includes caring for women with a wide variety of serious medical complications which can impact on their pregnancy. Care is provided for women when there are fetal complications - some of which may result in pregnancy loss through spontaneous events and through termination of pregnancy.

Ideally, the successful candidate for this senior midwifery role will have had experience of working with people who have experienced complications during their pregnancy. You need to be a registered, practising midwife currently in New Zealand.

About You:

  • NZ Registered Midwife with Current Practicing Certificate
  • Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team and with complexity in pregnancy
  • A relevant post graduate qualification completed or in progress
  • A minimum of 5 years midwifery experience which will include:
    • A minimum of 12 months Secondary/Tertiary hospital experience
    • A minimum of 12 months Community Midwifery / LMC midwifery experience
  • Full and clean NZ Drivers Licence

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of women and their families by providing personalized, continuous care.
  • Work in a supportive, collaborative environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
  • Work within a community-focused healthcare service that values diversity and cultural safety.
