About the Role

Step into a pivotal leadership role where your expertise will shape exceptional maternity care for mothers and their babies. As a Clinical Midwife Coordinator, you’ll work alongside the Clinical Midwife Manager to support and guide a passionate team of midwives and nurses, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care.

You will foster a positive, nurturing environment for both staff and whānau, playing a key role in enhancing maternity services. Initially, this role offers morning and afternoon shifts, with the possibility of night shifts in the future. Shifts will be rostered as per MECA, supporting your professional growth while maintaining work-life balance. This is a fixed term opportunity until April 2027.

About you

We are looking for a motivated leader who is passionate about midwifery and ready to take on a clinical coordination role. Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Registered Midwife with proven experience
  • Leadership Level QLP or actively working towards it
  • Shift leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a team (desired not preferred)
    Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings
