About the Role
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking a dietitian with experience in clinical dietetics to join our team.
The successful applicant will work at Taranaki Base Hospital in New Plymouth. Clinicians from the dietetic service work as part of multi-disciplinary teams in inpatient wards and outpatient clinics, supporting clients with a range of health challenges across the lifespan. This role combines two fixed term, part time opportunities in both adult inpatient and outpatient settings. There is potential to share the available FTE between two candidates.

You’ll enjoy the support of a dedicated team of 10 highly skilled dietitians, and regular interactions with other health professionals across Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki services.

About you
Are you a qualified and registered dietitian who is able to practise in New Zealand who would embrace an exciting opportunity? Do you share in our vision and our values, and will you ensure that our patients feel supported and cared for throughout their journey with us?
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Hold current practice registration with the NZ Dietitians Board including endorsed scope of practice as a Dietitian Prescriber.
- Have a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Recent clinical dietetic experience greater than one year is preferred, but not essential. Knowledge of foodservice dietetics would be an advantage.
