  • Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Nurse or Anaesthetic Technician
  • 7 months secondment role – Full time position

About the Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse or technician to further their career focusing on professional leadership, promote teamwork, coach and support staff, and monitor and evaluate standards of practice within the Greenlane Surgical Unit (GSU).

This role will have responsibility for the daily clinical coordination and operational oversight of Urology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology and ENT services, including both adult and paediatric patients. The role will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality and patient centred care.

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong clinical leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to support staff, manage competing priorities and contribute to the ongoing development of the GSU service.

This is a 7 months secondment role working full time, Monday to Sunday.

About You:

To apply for this role you must have:

  • Current NZ Nursing Registration / Anaesthetic Technician Registration and an annual practicing certificate
  • An expert/senior nurse or senior anaesthetic technician with relevant clinical experience – Minimum of 5 years' experience post registration
  • A passion for developing people and building capability, with the ability to lead with influence, clarity and integrity to drive high standards of care across multidisciplinary teams.
  • A Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma or Masters in specialty practice (or working towards) is highly desirable.
