About the Role

This position based in Gisborne is available for an enthusiastic person to commence as soon as possible- working casually between Monday to Friday working between the prime hours of 0730-1600. You will need good clerical and numerical competences, great time management and customer service skills. You will need to be able to use your initiative, be self-motivated and enjoy working as part of a busy team.

As there will be a requirement to lift and move items, a good standard of physical fitness is required for this role.

As there will be a requirement to operate a forklift, a driver’s license with a history of safe driving is required for this role and a forklift license is preferred.

The Supply Chain team plays a vital role in ensuring clinical and non-clinical teams have access to the products and equipment they need to provide safe, effective patient care. Working within Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology Management (PSC&HTM), you will be part of a supportive team committed to service excellence and continuous improvement.

About you

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Experience in distribution/supply chain/purchasing/inventory management is preferred
  • Current, clean and full drivers licence
  • Forklift operator’s licence preferred
  • Physically fit as the position requires some lifting
  • Proven data entry experience – Windows based system
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Effective team member
  • Self-motivated & can do initiative
  • Sense of humour
  • Good common sense
