About the Role

We are seeking casual registered nurses that enjoy working in a challenging specialty area and demonstrates strong clinical skills. Ideally, you will have experience as a haematology nurse, including administering chemotherapy. You should possess excellent cannulation and phlebotomy skills, along with a reputation for maintaining a positive and dynamic approach to patient care.

The role requires you to be well-organized, flexible, and able to effectively manage the demands of competing priorities in a busy clinical environment. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are passionate about delivering high-quality care, we would love to hear from you.

You will have a key role in the delivery of patient care for Haematology Day Stay. Providing service excellence to our patients is essential, we currently deliver care to both Haematology and non-Haematology patient groups.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Haematology Service has an established dynamic and growing haematology department based at North Shore Hospital. Clinical areas include malignant haematology, a large acute thrombosis service as well as general haematology. We have an active research department with studies in both malignant haematology and thrombosis.

Creating an environment that is welcoming, professional and supports quality service delivery is our priority.

About you

To be considered we will need the following:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post registration acute experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous experience in Haematology

We are looking for someone that is focused, have excellent communication skills, motivated and have experience being a member of a team working collaboratively to facilitate and co-ordinate care that achieves health outcomes.
