About the Role
The Interventional Radiology theatre requires a well organised person to join a small administration team as a full-time Booking Clerk.
This critical role will oversee patient arrivals, manage queries from ward staff and liaise with the allied health staff and Specialists within Radiology. Given the complexity and high volume of procedures, a substantial portion of this role involves processing patient request forms where precise and efficient data entry skills are essential. The individual in this position must be adept at managing the intricacies of diverse procedures and patient needs, ensuring smooth coordinator across various teams. We are seeking a relivable, motivated individual who thrives under pressure, maintain attention to detail and excels in a fast paced, high stakes environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Data entering/administration of the waiting lists
- Scheduling patient’s pre-admission appointments when instructed
- Coordinating pre and post care resources
- Informing patients of requirements for procedures and appointment details
- Accurate management of clinical records

About the Team/Service
Interventional Radiology is based within the Theatres and Anaesthesia department and provides care to patients using minimally invasive medical imaging guidance.
The multi-disciplinary Interventional Radiology (IR) team is supportive, dynamic, and flexible, working collaboratively to provide high-quality care to patients across our region. IR caters to all specialties and performs a wide range of minimally invasive procedures that rely on radiological image guidance, including x-ray, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT.
Our team includes experienced Doctors, Nurses, Medical Imaging Technologists (MITs), and two dedicated booking clerks. Together, they ensure seamless coordination and patient-centred care.

- Minimum 12 months booking experience in Radiology or Interventional Radiology (IR)
