About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Taranaki Cardiology and Respiratory outpatient team has become available in the role of a Referral and Scheduling Administrator and applications are invited from experienced referral and scheduling administrators to fill this vacancy. You would be working as part of a dynamic team within the Medical Booking Team, and will be responsible for:

· Referrals Management.

· Open outpatient department clinic’s, scheduling patients’ appointments, communicating with our patients regularly.

· Administrative reviews / audits.

· Close working relationship with Consultants, Registrar’s, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Allied teams is required.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The position will be located in the Cardiology and Respiratory Outpatients Department. You will be working alongside a wider team of medical reception, referral & scheduling administrators who work together to providing an excellent service, in a trusted environment that is focused on improving the patient journey. The Cardiology and Respiratory Department is located within the main Base Hospital and accommodates outpatient clinics and cardiac and respiratory diagnostic testing for both inpatient and outpatients.

About you

As a Referral and Scheduling Administrator working in the Cardiology and Respiratory Outpatients, you would ideally have experience in a healthcare setting an/or previous experience in an administration and reception role.

· Excellent working knowledge in Excel, Word, Email.

· Desirable skills would include working knowledge of WebPAS/IBA, and Concerto patient systems with an in-depth knowledge of all modules is desirable.

· Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot.

· Knowledge of medical terminology and proven experience working closely with a clinical team.

· Effective communication.

· Be able to react effectively in an ever-changing environment.
