About the Role

Deliver high quality audiology care with a strong focus on paediatric assessment and rehabilitation. In this role, you will provide diagnostic and hearing support services including paediatric diagnostics, and hearing aid support, while contributing to ENT clinics and wider service delivery. You will work closely with children and their whānau, supporting early intervention and long-term outcomes through expert clinical practice.

About the Team/Service/Location

The Bay of Plenty Audiology Service operates across Tauranga Hospital and Whakatāne clinics, delivering specialist care to the region. The team is collaborative, values driven, and committed to continuous improvement and high standards of care. Strong working relationships exist with ENT, Paediatrics, Advisor on Deaf Children services, and Newborn Hearing Screening, ensuring integrated care across services. Based in either Tauranga or Whakatāne, this role offers a supportive team environment alongside a coastal lifestyle with access to beaches, bush, and outdoor activities.

About You

You will be a dedicated Audiologist with a strong commitment to delivering high quality, patient centred care. You bring excellent interpersonal skills, work confidently both independently and within a team, and adapt well in a busy clinical environment. Your approach reflects a willingness to learn, a focus on continuous improvement, and a genuine interest in supporting tamariki and their whānau through their hearing journey.

What you will bring:

  • Master’s degree in Audiology
  • Eligibility for, or Audiologist Membership with, the New Zealand Audiological Society
  • Experience or strong interest paediatric audiology, including diagnostics and rehabilitation
  • Knowledge of hearing aid technologies, including bone conduction systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary services
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with patients, whānau, and clinical teams
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and culturally responsive care
