About the Role
As an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will play a pivotal role in providing senior nursing leadership and operational coordination of the unit, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care 24/7. Working closely with ICU Senior Medical Staff and Duty Nurse Managers, you'll oversee the flow of critically ill patients into, within, and out of the ICU—supporting clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
This is an exciting opportuanity to step into a dynamic leadership role within a high-acuity, fast-paced environment where your expert critical care knowledge and decision-making will directly impact patient outcomes. Shifts are 12 hours and rotate across days and nights, ensuring a strong leadership presence at all times.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our ICU team includes a group of 7 experienced ACNMs who provide around-the-clock management and coordination of care within the unit. You will be part of a collaborative, highly skilled multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional care to some of our most vulnerable patients.

About you
As an ACNM, you will bring:
- Extensive experience in Critical Care nursing, with an approved Expert-level Professional Development & Recognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio.
- A current New Zealand Nursing Practice certificate
- A post-graduate qualification (minimum of PG Certificate) in Critical Care Nursing.
- Proven leadership and management experience in an ICU or similar high-acuity environment.
- Expert clinical assessment, coordination and decision-making skills.
- A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.
