National Child Rehabilitation Service (NCRS) - Wilson Centre
Health New Zealand - Waitematā
The National Children’s Rehabilitation Service (NCRS) team is passionate about improving health outcomes for tamariki and delivering whānau -centred care. We understand that delivering excellent care means working in partnership with a strong focus on reducing health inequities.
The role: We are looking for a Team Manager who can provide proactive dynamic leadership, operational management and coordination of staff, systems and resources to support quality service delivery and excellent team functioning. Your skills will include an ability to lead through change.
NCRS offers a comprehensive whānau-centred rehabilitation service for tamariki and rangatahi (ages 0-16). We are the national tertiary service which provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for tamariki and rangatahi with neurological, orthopaedic, spinal, complex pain and other medical conditions.
The Work:
Based at the Wilson Centre in Hauraki on Auckland’s north shore, we work together with tamariki and their whānau to develop a rehabilitation programme tailored to meet their needs so they can reach their full potential. You will manage the highly skilled multidisciplinary allied health team delivering a national tertiary service. You will be supporting the clinicians in their practice as you lead the team to undertake continuous quality improvement. You will also work with the Associate Director of Allied Health, Charge Nurse Managers and other leaders within CWF services in contributing to service planning. Our work requires that we recognise health inequity and barriers to access for tamariki and whānau, and integrate Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles within NCRS.
This is an opportunity to enrich clinical practice and knowledge in paediatric rehabilitation, whilst building on your current leadership experience. We are specifically looking for a registered Allied Health professional who has:
- At least 6 years of clinical experience, including leadership responsibilities
- A strong commitment to quality improvement
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
- An ability to support the achievement of equitable health outcomes for Māori
