The role is primarily based at Waikato Hospital, with the slight chance of shifts occurring in rural hospitals and community bases.

About the Role
- Assisting registered allied health clinicians with patient interventions.
- Helping patients to regain their independence with activities of daily living following medical illness/surgery.
- Ordering of equipment such as walking aids and exercise equipment.
- Performing administrative tasks.
- Undertaking group patient activities when required.
- Setting up of equipment and equipment cleaning.

- Computer skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adapt to changing work demands.

- A current full NZ driver’s licence.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting would be beneficial.
- Commitment to doing things the right way, not the easy way.
- Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
