About the Role
We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to join the team in the Bay of Islands Hospital. This role will provide high quality services and care to the patients and their whanau as delegated by the Allied Health Practitioners. These services will be delivered in a variety of locations including inpatients, outpatients, and the community. It will also support allied health teams in the effective management of resources and equipment.
This is for a full time, fixed term role ending in August 2026. The hours of work are between Monday - Friday, 8am - 4.30pm.

About you
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will bring excellent interpersonal skills, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll be a supportive team player who communicates effectively and builds positive working relationships.
- Year 11 NCEA level 1 English and Maths, or equivalent
- A full New Zealand driver’s license
- Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Ability to work under direction
Candidates who hold a New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZQA Level 3) with previous Allied Health Assistant experience is ideal, however not essential to apply.
