About the Role
We welcome you to apply for the Adolescent Fellow role at Kidz First Centre for Youth Health at Te Whatu Ora-Counties Manukau in Auckland. This is a fixed term position for 12 months, up to 1.0 FTE, which can be tailored to suit the applicant and their training needs in Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine (AYAM). This position is accredited as core A training in AYAM with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, so is ideally suited for a trainee of this programme.
The clinician will provide clinical services to Centre for Youth Health (which may include Specialist Adolescent Clinic, Alternative Education Clinic, Transgender Clinics, and other clinical work delivered by the service in agreement with the clinician). There is scope to match the successful applicant’s areas of interest and any professional development needs.
There is also the requirement for working at Kidz First Hospital 1 in 3 weekends.

About the Team/Service/ Location

This position is based at Kidz First Centre for Youth Health as part of a multidisciplinary team, with clinics across the Auckland Region. Kidz First is one of the largest Paediatric departments in New Zealand, serving New Zealand's most culturally diverse population with high health needs.

About you
- Be a team player that can work collaboratively, traversing across services
- Demonstrate effective communication styles, critical thinking and striving to improve health inequities
- A proven ability or competence in working with Maaori, Pacific and culturally diverse population is preferred
- Eligible for registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
