  • Exciting opportunity in the BreastScreen Midland office - Waikato Hospital, and out in the Midland Community.
  • Permanent full-time (part-time applicants will be considered).
  • We have an opportunity for someone to join our team. The position provides administrative support to the regional coordination call centre team based in Hamilton, as well as reception cover at the BreastCare and mobile units when out in the Midland community.

About the Role

Our Administrators support the entire Midland region by booking in our participants and working in our communities as part of our mobile services team. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations, helping women access vital breast screening services wherever they are. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure all administrative activities are carried out promptly, effectively and efficiently at all times.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Provides a customer focused call centre service that is courteous, polite, and responsive accurate, confidential and timely either on the phone or at reception.
  • Ensures administrative data meets regional and national requirements by following the duties outlined in the administrative support Desk file for Regional Coordination Centre.
  • Booking mammograms for all fixed and mobile sites in the Midland region.

About the Team/Service

Breast Screen Aotearoa (BSA) is a breast cancer screening programme providing mammograms every two years for eligible women aged 45-69 years. We have recently rolled out age extension to those eligible up-to 74.There are eight providers covering New Zealand, of which Breast Screen Midland is one. Breast Screen Midland (BSM) covers the geographic boundaries of the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Lakes District regions. BSM currently offers this service from eight fixed sites across the region and is supported by two mobiles that travel around the region providing accessibility for rural women.(soon to be a fleet of four mobiles).

 

About you

To be a successful applicant you would ideally have the following attributes:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Business administration or relevant computing courses would be desirable
  • Work experience in an administrative role, either in a call centre or in a booking clerk role would be preferred
  • An interest in promoting women's health and well-being, Knowledge of Te Reo and be especially willing to embrace Tikanga Maori.
