About the Role

We are seeking a permanent Administrator to join our team within the Outpatient Clinics, Meade Clinical Centre (MCC). This is a part time position working 16 hours per week with days and hours of work Thursday / Friday 7.30am to 4pm.  The role is essential in assisting with the smooth running of the Outpatient Clinics across several different specialities. 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Communicating with staff, patients and their families
  • Organising, preparing and distributing patient records and other documentation
  • Maintaining accurate computer records of patient attendance at clinic
  • Booking appointments for patients
  • Utilising communication tools available to ensue clinic runs effectively and efficiently

About you

The successful applicant will need to be able demonstrate the following experience, skills and attributes:

 

  • Excellent communication skills with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • A welcoming and professional approach with a strong customer service focus
  • Proven and demonstrated experience in an administration role and computer skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High level of accuracy with data entry and communication
  • Enjoys working in a diverse and busy environment
  • Previous experience in healthcare setting would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided.
  • An understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your work
