MEDICAL ADMINISTRATOR
Hawera Hospital – South Taranaki Rural Health General Practice (STRHGP)
Permanent - Full time
Do you like working in a dynamic and growing team, and would like to be responsible for day-to-day administrative and financial tasks? As a medical administrator you will meet and greet patients, process payments, manage patient files, schedule appointments and answer phone and online enquiries.
If you have experience in the New Zealand primary care system, enjoy helping people and enabling others to support our patients, then we would like to hear from you.

About the Role
Would you like to:
· Work with a great team and help STRHGP patients find the care they need.
· Perform various administrative and financial tasks in a fast-paced environment?
· Create a safe and warm and inviting atmosphere for our patients?
· Help our doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses stay on top of patient care.
· Maintain patient care and well-being by processing emergency patients, booking appointments and maintaining communication?
· Be the first person at the GP surgery the patient or their whanau meets, and be the face of the practice?
· Be part of a positive and learning environment at Hāwera Hospital?

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our highly motivated team of administrators are seeking another experienced General Practice team member to join us at our expanding practice.

About you
Our preferred candidate would ideally have:
· Prior experience in working in a New Zealand primary care system.
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Excellent computer skills and experience of a general patient management system (Indici preferred).
- Customer service skills.
