About the Role
The Administration Support person will provide high-quality, people-centred, and coordinated administrative support across Lakes Integrated Community Health Service (LICHS). This includes front-of-house reception for the public and staff; accurate data entry and record management in patient systems; maintaining desk files, databases, reports, and documents for each service; supporting invoicing and purchasing; preparing correspondence; coordinating appointments and team calendars; and assisting with triage administration across District Nursing, START, and NASC. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and efficient information flow as directed by Team Leads.

Lakes Integrated Community Health Services (LICHS) provides integrated, person-centred support across District Nursing, START (Supported Transfer and Rehabilitation Team), and NASC (Needs Assessment Service Coordination) in the Lakes region. You will be joining a warm, friendly, and collaborative admin team that prides itself on being approachable and solutions-focused. Our administrators work closely together to support DN, START, and NASC team, pitching in where needed and sharing knowledge to keep things running smoothly. About you
We’d love to hear from you if you are an adaptable Administration Support professional who can provide high-quality, shared administrative services across all LICHS teams and who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a difference for our community.
You will have:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a calm, professional manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in administration/clerical roles within busy, multi-disciplinary environments.
- Experience with invoicing, purchasing, and basic financial administration.
- Proficient in data entry with high accuracy; capable of extracting and preparing data reports.
- Confident using patient management systems and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage competing demands across multiple teams.
- Understanding of cultural safety and a commitment to equitable outcomes for Māori and other priority populations.
- Previous experience in a health setting is advantageous (e.g., community, primary, or hospital), but not essential.
