Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.

About the role:
Are you an experienced mental health nurse looking for the opportunity to lead, influence, and support high-quality acute mental health care in our community? We are seeking an experience mental health nurse to be an Acute Clinical Team Coordinator to provide clinical and operational leadership within our Adult Community Mental Health & Addictions Acute Pathway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside the Team Manager and Senior Medical Officer to coordinate safe and effective service delivery.
- Provide leadership and clinical guidance to support evidence-based acute assessment, treatment, and care.
- Act as a resource and mentor to staff, supporting their professional development and ensuring high standards of clinical practice.
- Monitor and uphold safe, equitable, and recovery-focused care, aligned with the Mental Health Act, human rights legislation, and organisational values.
- Support service improvement, recruitment, retention, and workforce development.
- Partner with service users, whānau, and colleagues across integrated care pathways to achieve better health outcomes.
Salaries are based on the PSA Mental Health & Public Health Nursing Collective Agreement, Senior Nurse Scale.

Essential requirements
- NZ Registered Mental Health Nurse
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years post registration experience in Mental Health with some of this being within a community mental health team
- Relevant post graduate qualification completed or near completion and PDRP at proficient level or higher
- Full, NZ driver’s licence with no limitations
