- Regular agreed hours usually between 8.30 – 5pm Monday to Friday. No on call commitment.

About the Role
As a sexual health registrar you will be provided with training and support to enabling you to provide compassionate, non-judgemental care to people with sexual health related conditions in an outpatient setting. This will include management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and persistent or recurrent genital conditions. The service has a focus on STI and HIV prevention and your role will also include providing HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis for HIV (PEP) and syphilis (DoxyPEP). Registrars are also involved in providing gender affirming care including the prescribing of gender affirming hormone treatment. There is also the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in the management of HIV infection. You will be involved in weekly team meetings including education sessions, peer review and other clinical and complex case meetings and provide support to the house officer and nursing team.

About the Team/Service
Our dedicated, friendly team strives to provide expert, non-judgemental compassionate care. There are three sexual health medicine specialists, another part-time registrar, one clinical nurse specialist (CNS), four registered nurses, a health care assistant and two administrators. The service also has a PGY2 house officer position. We work closely with the HIV CNS who is co-located in our clinic building.
About you
You will have an interest and relevant experience in sexual health.
To be accepted into Advanced Training in Sexual Health Medicine, an applicant must be a registered medical practitioner in Australia or New Zealand and have completed RACP Basic Training Program with success in the Written and Clinical Examinations OR have achieved Fellowship from another college, for example Fellowship of the New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP).
Whilst this is a sexual health medicine training position, applications are also welcome from clinicians from other relevant specialities wishing to develop their skills and experience in sexual health medicine.
