We are seeking Registered Midwives with a minimum of two years' experience to become key members of our team at Waitakere Maternity.

Located near the picturesque Waitakere Ranges and stunning west Auckland beaches, Waitakere Hospital provides primary maternity and secondary obstetric services to the West Auckland community. Last year, our dedicated team facilitated over 3,000 births. We care for women from 32 weeks gestation and operate a 12-bed Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU). With a caesarean section rate of around 24%, our ward collaborates closely with Lead Maternity Carers (LMCs), offering successful candidates the chance to participate in a higher number of deliveries.

Our midwifery-led unit is comprised solely of midwives and consultants, with no registrars. This structure allows us to offer antenatal, postnatal, and birthing services all within one ward, providing you with a comprehensive experience across the full spectrum of midwifery care.
