We are seeking a Clinical Quality Coordinator to support the Child, Youth & Family Mental Health Team.

About the role

You will provide leadership, advice, facilitation, implementation, and support over a range of quality assurance and service improvement activities to ensure a robust quality framework and a safe, effective, and high-quality clinical service.

Supported by a strong skilled team of clinical and operational leaders as a member of the senior leadership team, you will be able to apply your relationship and quality assurance skills to facilitate best practices in reviewing incidents, preparing for credentialing and audit, responding to feedback and complaints, and in developing policy and procedure.

About you

We are looking for someone with strong relationship skills, excellent oral and written communication skills (including monthly reporting), and a familiarity with quality and clinical processes and clinical outcomes. You will have a tertiary qualification in quality or health with a minimum of five years’ sector experience including recent clinical experience or lived experience as a user of mental health or addictions services.

Preferred

  • Right to work in New Zealand
  • NZ full driver's licence
  • Tertiary qualification in nursing, or allied health, scientific technical professions with New Zealand registration and a current annual practicing certificate or equivalent OR
  • A tertiary qualification in quality assurance OR
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and experience as a user of specialist mental health and addiction services
  • 5 years of recent experience in the health sector
  • Working knowledge of Ministry of Health and Health New Zealand requirements for mental health and addictions
  • Demonstrated success in applying critical analysis skills, engaging stakeholders in change ideas
  • Experience with audit and/or other quality methods
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
