We are seeking an experienced, Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our team in the fast paced Endoscopy unit at North Shore Hospital. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills and be available to work casual, rostered duties.

Right now, we’re in an exciting period of growth and we’re looking for exceptional Health Care Assistants to join us. We are building a new four-story, state-of the-art hospital due for completion in 2024 on the North Shore, Auckland site. Who does not want to work in a brand new hospital!

Duties will be under the direction of the Registered Nurse assisting with patient care pre and post procedure, transferring patients, communicating with the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the unit is kept clean and tidy, restock linen, trolleys and supplies as per department requirements each duty.

You are expected to have:

· Proven excellent customer service skills, and understand the importance of good relationships in providing good customer service

· Be a team Player

· Passionate about caring and patient focused

· Good command of oral and proficient in written English and some knowledge and understanding of the health care system

· Work experience as a HCA in a health care setting or related health field 

· Reputation for completing work tasks on time
