Senior or Advanced Clinician Physiotherapist – Medical Wards, Acute Allied Health

Full time, fixed term until February 2026

We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Senior or Advanced Clinician Physiotherapist to join our team within our medical services.  This opportunity would allow you to on a speciality ward such as Cardiology, Renal, Haematology, Medical Assessment Unit (As part of the Emergency Department) or General Medicine. 

Our Physiotherapy services span across various medical wards, encompassing both general medical wards and several subspecialty wards. Currently, we have approximately 10 Physiotherapists, including senior and core clinicians, dedicated to working across these services. 

The role will provide clinical leadership, knowledge and expertise to enhance patient care within this multidisciplinary environment by helping to coordinate, deliver, and support Physiotherapy services within medicine.

Essential:

• NZPT with current annual practicing certificate
• Extensive clinical experience and knowledge of acute physiotherapy practice
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience and knowledge of clinical practice, preferably in an acute medical setting for senior clinician
• Minimum 6 years clinical experience and knowledge of clinical practice, preferably in an acute medical setting for advanced clinician
• Cultural awareness and understanding
• Clinical teaching experience
