About the role:

Are you motivated, innovative, and excited about resuscitation education?

An opportunity has become available to join the team within the Clinical Training and Education Centre (CTEC) as a Resuscitation & Clinical Education Facilitator.

Your role is to facilitate, support, instruct, and audit the provision of training in relation to resuscitation, emergency management in a 777 call or Medical Emergency team (MET) type call, and to provide training and facilitation for understanding of the management of the deteriorating patient across all staff groups within Te Whatu Ora - Counties Manukau (Te Whatu Ora – CM). This role requires provision of simulation-based education in emergency management and patient safety throughout the organisation.

This position would ideally suit a senior healthcare professional (nurse, anaesthetic technician, paramedic), who is looking to take up a new challenge. What you will bring to the role is your experience in educational techniques in a wide range of settings, clinical experience, especially in dealing with cardiac arrest, but also your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a history of relationship abilities demonstrated, quality knowledge, personal integrity, team ethics and the ability to lead and implement change.

Essential:

  • Registered healthcare professional with current practising certificate
  • 5+ years clinical experience in your health profession
  • Current in-depth knowledge of Emergency/Resuscitation procedures
  • CPR teaching experience
  • ACLS teaching experience
  • Use of simulation in healthcare
  • Relevant post graduate qualification
